About

What is a Fanlisting?

A fanlisting is a list of fans from around the world. A website allows people to browse through the list, join, get pretty icons/codes, and update their information. More information available at: TFL101.

History/Opinion

At the thefanlistings.org message board I noticed that the Lewis Carroll fanlisting was up for adoption. Being a fan of his work I was quick to apply.

Lewis Carroll

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson was born on the 27th of January in 1832. He went to Richmond School in Yorkshire and later to Oxford, where he was to teach later on in life. In 1855 he became a lecturer at Oxford, teaching maths. Maths, especially the logical side of it, was one of his biggest interests. He wrote many puzzle books and textbooks, but is best known for childrens books. The best known of which are the Alice books, published in 1865 (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland) and 1872 (Alice Through the Looking Glass), although Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was re-released with slight changes as Alice in Wonderland, as we know it now. Sadly, he died at the age of 66 from Bronchitis on 14th July 1898.
